Snow Event: Thursday 11/27/25 – Friday 11/28/2025
High winds and white out conditions are expected. Roads are NOT in good condition! Be safe.
Event Forecast Timeline
Lake effect snow is expected until 7 pm Friday.
Forecast Impact
Because it is lake effect, it's difficult to predict the total accumulation. The National Weather Service snow warning is calling for anywhere from 3-13 inches.

Dispatch Time: 9:00 pm
Happy Thanksgiving! We are monitoring accumulation closeley. As of 2:30 pm Thursday, the most we are seeing is about 1 inch. We will continue to measure.
Live updates will appear below.
5:45 pm
THURSDAY 5:45 pm: We are seeing around 1-2" throughout our service area. Because lake effect snow fall is expected for the next 24 hours- and we only plow up to 2 times within 24 hours- we are not going to dispatch plows right away. In a 24+ hour storm, plowing too early (for example at 2 inches and again at 4 inches) would use up both service visits while significant snow is still forecasted. To be more strategic, we anticipate sending out most plows around 8 PM or sooner tonight. This timing puts us in a better position if we need to plow again tomorrow.
ALSO - the roads are still very bad and there is a lot of holiday traffic. Be safe out there and enjoy the rest of your holiday!
3:30 am
FRIDAY: 3:30 am: Drivers are finishing their first round of plowing. Each driver has reported unsafe road conditions, it seems the road crews were starting to get a handle on it Thursday evening, but conditions have deteriorated again. Some drivers are seeing up to 1-1.5" of freshly accumulated snow in driveways plowed at the beginning of their routes. Predictions show the snow slowing/stopping over the next few hours, but we never truly know with lake effect. We anticipate a daytime plow today (Friday) but the time is still to be determined, please see previous update for information on strategic timing. Also - please remember to open your gates for round two!
2:00 pm
FRIDAY: 2:00 pm: Forecasts are calling for decent snowfall over the next few hours, and showing that will be the last of it. If we can wait to dispatch plows until the snow is done, we will do that so everyone can have a completley clear driveway. However, if it snows excessively and accumulates too quickly, we might not be able to wait. We'll post an update around 3:30-4:00 PM.
4:00 pm
FRIDAY: 4:00 pm: The snow hasn't been as heavy as some predictions showed. The current plan (subject to change if conditions worsen) is to wait until the Lake Effect Snow Warning expires tonight to dispatch plows.
9:00 pm
FRIDAY: 9:00 pm: Plows have been dispatched for a second time. Please open your gates!
