Snow Event: Sunday 2/16/25 – Monday 2/17/25
Event Forecast Timeline
The forecast timeline has a lot of variation from neighborhood to neighborhood- we're seeing the Pepper Pike and surrounding area hitting 2 inches as soon as 3/4 pm Sunday, but the Shaker Heights and surrounding area not hitting 2 inches until 1/2 am Monday morning. Overall, sources are predicting snow through Monday evening.
Forecast Impact
Shaker Heights and surrounding areas are expected to receive 3-6 inches by Monday evening. Pepper Pike and surrounding areas may receive 4-8 inches, he probability chart shows a 49% likelihood of this and a 46% likelihood of 2-4 inches, so we'll probably see somewhere in the middle range. The Winter Weather Advisory, although much less localized, is calling for 2-5 inches.

Dispatch Time: 12:00 am
The forecasts have been inaccurate lately, so we don't like to rely on them too heavily. As always, we'll monitor the situation ourselves and post updates below. If the forecasts are right, we may dispatch drivers to different areas at different times instead of dispatching all drivers at once like we normally do.
Live updates will appear below.
11:00 am
Snow is falling faster than expected and we're seeing 1.5 inches in a lot of places. If it continues like this, we'll be dispatching soon.
11:45 am
Plows have been dispatched. Pepper Pike/Mayfield area drivers are starting now and the rest of our drivers will begin their routes by 12:30 - 1:00 pm. They are reporting treacherous road conditions, it sounds like even main roads still aren't under control yet. Be careful out there!
6:15 pm
All routes are complete. The houses towards the beginning of our routes are already seeing decent snow accumulation since they were completed. We'll almost certainly have to dispatch plows for a second round. Since we're still supposed to receive another inch or so of snow tonight, and we only plow twice in 24 hours, we'll be waiting at least a few hours to start again to hopefully catch the majority of the snow. Updates will be posted below.
10:30 pm
Plows will be dispatched for a second round at 12:30-1:00 am.
6:00 am
All routes have been completed a second time. Around 6-12 inches of snow fell and they are calling for 40+ mph wind gusts, so if your property is prone to developing snow drifts, they can be expected today. It likely won't snow enough for us to dispatch plows again, so just a reminder that we offer Special Dispatch Plows, details and pricing can be found in our contract.
